How To Teach Or Practice Reiki Texas

By Anthony Hughes

When living in Texas, it can often be hard when working as an energy or light worker. However, there are several places where an individual can be come certified in the art of Reiki Texas. Whether in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin or Houston, there are centers and individuals which provide all levels of training.

When in Dallas, there are a number of classes and workshops offered through Healing Today. The center offers instruction in both practicing and teaching the healing art. As such, anyone interested in becoming a teacher or practitioner in Texas may want to visit the center.

When having a difficult time deciding whether or not to become involved in the healing art, many workshop leaders will allow an individual sit in on a class or two free of charge. While this is the case, the individual need realize that sitting in on a class or classes does not allow one the privilege, certification or license to practice or teach the healing art to others.

Many classes are so popular that even healthcare workers have attended in order to get a better idea of the process. Basically, practitioners from all walks of life including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians and massage therapists have all found learning at the center rather rewarding. While this is the case, it should be noted that generally no required continuing education credit is provided to these individuals as part of the process.

While training in the medical field can often be difficult, classes in this healing art form are often casual and relaxed. While this is the case, the students still must prove through a variety of activities that actual learning has taken place. As such, there are often hands-on as well as written exercises with regards to completing the various levels required before becoming licensed or certified as a Reiki practitioner or Master.

For those interesting in teaching, Level III is the next step. In addition, while practitioners are not required to attend Level III to practice, it is often advised these individuals do so. For, Level III provides detailed information and lessons on how to attune the physical body while teaching others at the same time. As such, it can often be a nice boost to Levels I and II before moving on and becoming a certified or licensed practitioner.

Healing Today and other centers also offer group instruction. These classes provide instruction to multiple students at the same time. While the leveling classes are still required to become a practitioner or teacher, these classes can be a lot of fun and re-enhance the lessons learned on a one-on-one basis. For, when attending these classes, students get to practice on one another using chairs and massage tables. After which, many of these individuals end up starting or hosting healing circles in local neighborhoods.

If interested in attending a Reiki class or workshop, it can often be easy to find a local outlet. In some cases, practitioners may post bulletins on a number of coffee shop or bookstore bulletin boards. In addition, there may be listings in local entertainment guides under classes and workshops. Whereas, those living in rural areas can often do an online search to find the closest Reiki Master, classes or center in the area.
